Cabinet refinishing guide

Cabinet refinishing depends on adhesion. Cooking residue, household cleaners, hand oils, and old coatings must be removed before sanding, primer, and finish coats can perform as intended.

Doors and drawers are labeled before removal, while fixed cabinet boxes are protected and finished in place. We plan the sequence, drying time, access, and reassembly so the kitchen moves through the project in an orderly way.

Is cabinet refinishing durable?

Durability depends on cleaning, adhesion, coating choice, application, and cure time. The process is designed around all five.

Can we use the kitchen during the work?

Access is limited while doors and drawers are removed. We’ll explain the sequence and which areas remain usable.

Can we change the hardware?

Yes. Reusing or replacing hardware can be planned during estimating, including whether old holes need filling or new drilling.
